<p>Provided is an electrical power conversion device in which a target value for a DC output voltage can easily be dynamically set such that electrical power conversion efficiency is sufficiently high, without distorting the current waveform being inputted and without requiring a mechanism or operations for estimating or detecting DC output voltage. An electrical power conversion device is provided with: a conversion circuit, which has a switching element for carrying out switching in response to a drive pulse signal, and which carries out an AC-DC conversion on an inputted AC voltage, by means of the switching; an operation signal generation unit, which generates an operation signal for determining the operating amount of the switching element; and a pulse signal generation unit for carrying out a pulse width modulation having the operation signal as a signal wave, and generating a drive pulse signal in accordance with the operation signal. Therein, the operation signal generation unit detects the degree of modulation in the pulse width modulation, and generates the operation signal on the basis of the detected value of the degree of modulation.</p> |
