<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an external additive removal device capable of enhancing the removal efficiency of an external additive of toner. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes: a photoreceptor 102 which holds an image formed of toner; a cleaning member 142 which cleans the photoreceptor 102; an external additive agglomerating member 202 which is disposed on the downstream side of the cleaning member in a moving direction of the photoreceptor 102 and agglomerates an external additive of toner deposited on a surface of the photoreceptor 102; and an external additive removing member 252 which removes the external additive agglomerated by the external additive agglomerating member 202. Particles having a particle size equal to or larger than 3 μm and equal to or smaller than 20 μm are deposited on at least a part of the external additive agglomerating member 202, which is brought into contact with the photoreceptor 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
