<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hepatopathy prophylactic agent which comprises a limonoid-containing material derived from citrus fruits as an active constituent. <P>SOLUTION: The hepatopathy prophylactic agent comprises a limonoid-containing material derived from citrus fruits as an active constituent. Namely, the limonoid-containing material has been extracted and separated from citrus fruits, and essentially composed of limonin, deacetylnomilin and ichangensin. As an extraction solvent, chloroform is suitable.
