<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic detection device capable of shortening a reverberation time even if element constants of an oscillator and a drive circuit are fluctuated. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic detection device includes: an oscillator 50 for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves; a drive circuit 40 for driving the oscillator 50; a control circuit 10 for controlling driving of the oscillator 50 by the drive circuit 40, applying a transmission pulse for causing the oscillator 50 to transmit ultrasonic waves for detection, to the drive circuit 40, and delaying an oscillation-suppressing pulse for suppressing reverberation of the oscillator 50 by a predetermined period after application of the transmission pulse to apply the pulse to the drive circuit 40; and a storage section 20 for storing an oscillation-suppressing pulse condition including a pulse width tw of the oscillation-suppressing pulse and a delay period td after ending application of the transmission pulse as application timing of the oscillation-suppressing pulse, both values being set so that a reverberation time becomes a predetermined value, based on the previously-measured element constants unique to the oscillator 50 and the drive circuit 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
