<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit which is provided with a prism for bending an optical axis and can be reduced in outer diameter, and an endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging unit includes: an imaging device with a light receiving part on its first surface; objective lenses for forming a subject image; and the prism arranged between the objective lenses and the light receiving part. The imaging unit is configured with the first surface of the imaging device and the outgoing surface of the prism which are joined to each other. In the imaging unit, the side surfaces of the imaging device are provided with inclined surfaces which get close to each other as the surfaces approach from the first surface the second surface of the underside of the first surface from a view along the axis of incident light getting into the prism from the objective lenses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
