PURPOSE: A service server for providing a service based on a platform and an operation method thereof are provided to find information of the platform and/or a terminal model without connection with a communication company. CONSTITUTION: A service managing unit(310) inquires into platform information. A message generating unit(320) generates a driving message for driving a platform based service application installed in a terminal device. The message generating unit provides the generated driving message to the terminal device. An access controlling unit(330) provides an access address to the terminal device according to the service application.
