<p>PURPOSE: A porous ceramic surface activated with a complex iron oxide compound with a different oxidation number, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve adsorption selectivity for volatile organic compounds and absorption removal capacity for various molecular weights of volatile organic compounds. CONSTITUTION: A surface-activated porous ceramic comprises a multi-porous ceramic carrier and a transition metal having a different oxidation number or a transition metal salt. The complex iron oxide transition metal having the different oxidation number or transition metal salt is dipped in the multi-porous ceramic carrier. Based on 100 parts by weight of the porous ceramic powdered mixture, 0.01-30 parts by weight is loaded when dipped. The complex iron oxide transition metal having the different oxidation number or transition metal salt is one or more selected from carboxylic acid iron with less than 200 meshes, ammonium iron, ferrous titanate pulverized body, nanoferric oxide, hydroxy iron, oxidized iron oxide, ferric nitrate and iron sulfate. A manufacturing method of the porous ceramic comprises the following steps: making a mixed powder by adding activated charcoal to the multi-porous ceramic carrier; making a flow solution by mixing the complex iron oxide transition metal having the different oxidation number or transition metal salt, metal deactivator, emulsifier and organic solvent; making an emulsifying solution by adding water to the mixture; kneading the mixed powder with the emulsifying solution; and molding, drying, and sintering the dough.</p> |
