Cobalt complexes (Q) are new. Cobalt complexes (Q) of formula (Ia) or (Ib) are new. R 1>I, 1-12C-alkyl, 1-4C-alkoxy, trimethylsilyl, HgCl, -C(O)-1-4C-alkyl, phosphine or oxazole optionally substituted by 1-4C-alkyl, when n is greater than 1 R 1>of (Ia) or (Ib) are identical; A 1>-A 4>a [2,2',5',2'']terthiophene group of formula (II); R 2>H, Br, I, nitro, linear 1-12C-alkyl, linear 1-4C-alkoxy, -CHO, -C(O)-1-4C-alkyl, -C(O)-1-4C-alkoxy or a thiophene ring optionally having Br, I, nitro, linear 1-12C-alkyl, linear 1-4C-alkoxy, -C(O)-1-4-alkyl or -C(O)-1-4C-alkoxy; either R 3>-R 7>H, Br, 1-12C-alkyl or 1-4C-alkoxy; or R 3>R 4>, R 5>R 6>an ethylenedioxy group; and n : 0-5.
