PURPOSE: An apparatus for purifying exhaust gas is provided to minimize the volume of a catalyst and to be applicable for a small-sized steam supply and power generation plant. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for purifying exhaust gas(100) is composed of an oxidation catalyst(110), a reducing agent supplying unit(120), and a selective reduction catalyst(130). The oxidation catalyst receives exhaust gas generated from the combustion of natural gas and oxidizes a part of nitrogen monoxide in the exhaust gas into nitrogen dioxide. The reducing agent supplying unit sprays a reducing agent to the oxidized exhaust gas. The selective reduction catalyst reduces the nitrogen oxides into nitrogen by using the reducing agent and the nitrogen dioxide.
