PURPOSE: A vent plug for a tire vulcanizing mold is provided to generally use a vent plug regardless of the types of rubbers by forming multiple air discharge passages with different size cross sections in the vent plug. CONSTITUTION: A vent plug for a tire vulcanizing mold comprises a core and a body(10). The core has multiple locking protrusions(21) and air discharge grooves(22). The body comprises a through-hole(11) and a stopping sill(12). In order to form air discharge passages, the stopping sill is fitted in one side of the through-hole. The air discharge passages discharge residual air through the air discharge grooves.
