PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to improve life time of a negative electrode active material, and to increase loading level while maintaining excellent conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode comprising a silicon-based negative electrode active material; a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode active material capable of intercalating and deintercalating lithium and fibrous material; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. A density of the positive electrode which is weight per unit volume of a positive electrode except a current collector is 3.0-4.1 g/cm^3. The weight ratio of the non-fibrous material and the fibrous material is 0.6-3. The weight ratio of the positive electrode active material and the conductive material is 97:3-99:1.
