<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute engine output limitation without giving a sense of incongruity to a driver when an abnormality occurs in opening a mechanical throttle valve. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes a mechanical throttle valve 13 that is mechanically driven by a step-on operation force applied by a driver to an accelerator pedal 14 in order to adjust the air intake quantity of the engine 10. When it is detected that a brake pedal 33 is stepped on in an open state of the throttle valve 13, an ECU 40 changes the ignition timing to the retard side and stops the combustion of the engine 10 after changing the ignition timing to the retard side, thereby limiting the output of the engine 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
