<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead acid storage battery which exhibits high vibration resistance while a vehicle where it is mounted is running, even when a bushing is made to have greater strength than that of an electrode pole. <P>SOLUTION: A lead acid storage battery is composed of a group of electrode plates with their cathode and anode made to face each other via a separator which are accommodated in the cell chamber of a battery container where they are connected in series, the cathode of the electrode plate group at one end being connected to an electrode pole on one side to make it positive and the anode of the electrode plate group at the other end being connected to an electrode pole on the other side to make it negative, and the respective electrode poles being inserted into two bushings projected from the top face of a lid to constitute a cathode terminal and an anode terminal. In this battery composition, at least one of the electrode poles which has positive property is composed of lead alloy containing Sn by 1.0-5.0 mass%, As by 0.095 mass% or less and B by 0.001-0.5 mass%, and further a dent is provided on the top face of that electrode pole. The bushings are made to have greater strength than that of the electrode pole having the dent provided therein, and a protrusion handing down from inside on the top face of the bushing is fitted into the dent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
