摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a cooling device for a machine tool which can improve the requirements for cutting by enabling the shortage of a time during which the machine tool is stopped and also improve the durable term of a tool. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of controlling a cooling device for cooling the cutting tool of a machine tool, the cooling device includes a machining fluid supply source, a pump connected to the supply source, a drive motor for driving the pump, a cooling nozzle for cooling the tool, and a machining fluid feed duct for connecting the pump to the inlet of the nozzle. The method includes a step of controlling the motor to drive the pump so that the pump replenishes a machining fluid at a specified flow rate equal to a first flow rate set point, a step of measuring a parameter indicating a fluid outlet pressure from the nozzle, and a step of comparing an estimated outlet pressure estimated from the parameter with an existing first pressure threshold, and controlling the motor so that a fluid flow rate sent by the pump is increased when the estimated outlet pressure becomes lower than the first pressure threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
