<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-directional converter capable of being configured at low cost and preventing backflow of a current. <P>SOLUTION: A bi-directional converter has: a magnetic component M; a first switch element S1 connected between a first input/output terminal T1 and one end of the magnetic component; a second switch element S2 connected between the one end of the magnetic component and a reference potential; a third switch element S3 connected between the other end of the magnetic component and the reference potential; a fourth switch element S4 connected between the other end of the magnetic component and a second input/output terminal T2; and a switching controller 20. A current flows in the respective first to fourth switch elements only in one direction when the respective switch elements are turned off. In the case that an output voltage is output from the second input/output terminal, the switching controller turns off the second and fourth switch elements, and at a step-down operation, controls the switching of the first switch element and turns off the third switch element, and at a step-up operation, turns on the first switch element and controls the switching of the third switch element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
