<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus in a vehicular illumination lamp which prevents a driver from falsely recognizing reflection light from a traffic sign or a reflector as a headlamp of an oncoming car or a taillight of a preceding car. <P>SOLUTION: When a detection area of a preceding vehicle is equal to or larger than a predetermined range, a light distribution control apparatus selects a light distribution pattern corresponding to a distance to the preceding vehicle, synthesizes the selected light distribution pattern with detection data to produce a synthesized image, and uses the synthesized image to detect the preceding vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
