<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that ensures assembly accuracy easily, and to provide a rotor for the rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a first cylindrical rotor core 41 that has first permanent magnets 42 arranged circumferentially; and a second cylindrical rotor core 51 that has second permanent magnets 52 arranged circumferentially.
