<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router and a metric management method, enabling routing control in consideration of communication quality of a route in a dynamic routing protocol. <P>SOLUTION: The router, performing routing control based on routing information (102) generated according to the dynamic routing protocol, includes: a monitoring unit (103) for monitoring communication quality of a link, using a monitoring packet transmitted and received to and from a neighboring router; a metric management unit (105) for modifying the number of metrics between the neighboring router according to the communication quality; and a dynamic routing information processing unit (106) for generating routing information by referring to the modified number of metrics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
