PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically produce stainless steel by which strength, ductility, fatigue characteristics, and settling resistance are expected to improve and which is suitable especially as stainless steel for springs.
SOLUTION: When performing temper rolling on a steel strip using a reversible rolling mill, cold rolling is performed on the steel strip with rolling reduction of 10% or more, then the steel strip is removed from the reversible rolling mill at least once and subjected to forced cooling or cooling in the air, and then cold rolling is performed on the steel strip with rolling reduction of 10% or more. Thus a stainless steel sheet is produced, which has such chemical composition that 0.10% or less of C, 1.0% or less of Si, 2.0% or less of Mn, 16.0-18.0% of Cr, 6.0-8.0% of Ni, 0.06-0.25% of N, and at least one of Nb, Ti, V with the sum of 0-0.5% are contained, and the remainder comprises Fe and impurities. The stainless steel sheet has a phase structure comprising a single phase structure of a martensitic phase or a dual phase structure of a martensitic phase and an austenite phase, and has hardness (HV) of 440 or more and elongation (El) satisfying El≥390-0.82HV.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
