<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing an optical element where the producing cycle time for the optical element is shortened by a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the optical element includes: a heating step to heat an optical element material 100; a pressurizing step to pressurize the heated optical element material 100 with a plurality of molds (2, 3); and a cooling step to cool the pressurized optical element material 100. In the heating step, at least one mold (2, 3) of a plurality of the molds (2, 3) is supported by mold supporting members 8, 9 via spacers 6, 7 and is not in contact with the mold supporting members 8, 9. In the cooling step, the mold (2, 3) which is out of contact in the heating step is in contact with the mold supporting members 8, 9 by the heat shrinkage of the spacers 6, 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
