The support (30) has an open collar adapted to clamp a cylinder ending with two parallel sides (34). An internal reinforcement cover (20) is formed by folding a sheet forming a clevis having two wings (4). A central portion (8) connects the wings. A set of folds (10) of the reinforcement cover is arranged between the central portion and the wings. A set of locally reinforcing recesses (22, 24) is formed by deformation of the sheet, where the recesses are turned toward inner side of the folds. An independent claim is also included for a Mac Pherson type nosewheel assembly.
