<p>A magnetic braking device (100) has a first metal disc (1) slidably mounted on a drive shaft (50) of a motor and having first peripheral seatings (2a) arranged in a ring, for receiving first permanent magnets (2) of predetermined polarity. A second metal disc (3) is fixedly mounted with respect to the motor (5) and has second peripheral seatings (4a), arranged in a ring geometrically similar to and facing the first seatings (2a). The second peripheral seatings (4a) receive corresponding second permanent magnets (4) having the same polarity as the first magnets (2). Braking occurs by magnetic attraction between the magnets (2, 4) and the discs (1, 3), the discs coming into contact while maintaining the magnets (2, 4) mutually offset. Each magnet (2, 4) is opposite the respective portion of disc (3, 1) interposed between the successive peripheral seatings (4a, 2a).</p> |
