The method involves introducing a datum (D) into an input register (LRG1) and reading the datum from the input register using a logic circuit (SBX). A random datum (A1) from the input register is read by the logic circuit before introducing the datum into the input register. Another datum is introduced into the input register. The latter datum is read from the input register using the logic circuit. An output datum (OD) generated by the logic circuit from the random datum is introduced into another input register (RRG1) of another logic circuit (FPM). An independent claim is also included for a portable device comprising an electronic circuit.
