PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for calculating the real-time fuel consumption of a vehicle are provided to calculate the fuel consumption of a vehicle in real-time by considering the state information of the vehicle and the weight of loaded baggage. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for calculating the real-time fuel consumption of a vehicle comprises an RF module(110) which is a receiving unit, a calculation unit(120), and a display unit(130). The RF module receives the driving information of a vehicle from an RF module(310) connected to an OBD-2 interface(300) of the vehicle. The calculation unit calculates the fuel consumption of the vehicle based on the received vehicle information. The display unit displays the calculated fuel consumption.
