COMPOSITION FOR DECOMPOSING L-ASPAGINE CONTAINING NOVEL L-ASPARAGINASE AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING NOVEL L-ASPARAGINASE

PURPOSE: A composition containing novel L-asparaginase with thermal stability is provided to ensure high activity of the enzyme at room temperature and to be used in an industrial field. CONSTITUTION: A composition for decomposing L-asparagine contains L-asparaginase of sequence number 1. The enzyme is derived from Thermococcus kodakarensis KOD1 and active at 80-100 Deg. C. and pH 7-9. The composition contains a gene encoding the amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. The gene contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 2. A method for preparing L-asparaginase comprises: a step of culturing a transformant which is transformed with a recombinant plasmid containing the gene; and a step of isolating and purifying L-asparaginase from the transformant.
