PURPOSE: A method for selectively removing undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells and a cell composition are provided to effectively remove undifferentiated stem cells. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells comprises: a step of preparing a cell sample containing the undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells and differentiated cells; and a step of treating the cell sample with a sirtuin inhibitor and inducing selective apoptosis of undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells. The undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells are embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells, embryonic carcinoma cells, or iPSCs(induced pluripotent stem cells). The undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells are derived from human. A composition for removing undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells contains the sirtuin inhibitor.
