<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger which keeps ventilation channels at a heat exchanging core in an airtight condition, improves the drainage performance in a header tank, and improves the durability and heat efficiency of the heat exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger includes a casing (54) which is brought into contact with header tanks (10, 12) via a seal member (68) to keep ventilation channels in an airtight condition. The header tanks form spaces (14, 16) by upper plates (30) to which tubes (2) are connected and lower plates (32) joined to the upper plates. The upper plate has drain channels (50) formed as slots extending from the upper exterior to the middle of the side exterior of the same, and flat junctions (34) to the lower plate that are formed under the drain channels of the side exterior. The seal member is so disposed that the lower ends (50a) of the drain channels are exposed on the side exterior of the header tanks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
