The molded article of the invention is used in optical components selected from an f? lens, imaging lens, or light guide, and contains a polymer wherein a portion or all of the repeating units have an alicyclic structure. Moreover, when the molded article is immersed in cyclohexane at a concentration of 1 g/mL while stirring for six hours at 23ºC, the number of insoluble microparticles having a grain size between 1 and 2 µm contained in the cyclohexane as determined by a liquid particle counter is 200 particles/mL or less.
