<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter and a method for manufacturing the color filter, which prevents generation of ITO cracks due to application of a liquid crystal alignment layer, even when an overcoat layer or MVA (multi-domain vertical alignment) is not used, and which includes a stable layered photospacer formed therein without collapse or generation of cracks even on a narrow BM (black matrix) light-shielding part. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter for a liquid crystal display device includes, on a transparent substrate, at least a black matrix that defines a plurality of pixels, a light-shielding part within a pixel, orthogonally connecting with the black matrix, and color pixels of a plurality of colors having colored layers laid in the pixels. The maximum line width A of the color pixel and the minimum line width B of the color pixel in the same color where the colored layer continues satisfy a relational formula of 0.85<(B/A)≤1.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
