<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web content display device and a web content display method facilitating reproduction operation of animation content on a web page. <P>SOLUTION: The web content display device comprises: a remote control reception section that receives key input through a remote control; a web content reception section that receives web content; a web page information creating section that creates web page information; an extraction section that extracts animation content information from the web page information; a determination section that determines if the animation content can be reproduced; a storing section that stores reproducible animation content information; an animation content list creating section that creates an animation content list from the reproducible animation content information; a reproduction control section that controls the reproduction of animation content; and a display control section that displays the web page information and the animation content list at the same time.
