<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility by avoiding occurrence of crosstalk in a character portion in a video device capable of displaying a stereoscopic image including a caption. <P>SOLUTION: The video device detects caption portions from respective right eye image and left eye image of an inputted image signal, measures the parallax amount of the captions in the respective right eye image and left eye image, and adjusts the parallax amount to adjust or flatly display the stereoscopic effect of the captions. This reduces the degree of fatigue due to the parallax when viewing a long movie or an explanation portion and also eliminates flicker of characters, thereby improving visibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
