<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange solar cells densely and closely to each other, by preventing a folding part of an output terminal from projecting to the outside of the periphery of a surface member and a rear surface member. <P>SOLUTION: A solar cell 1 includes an element mounting substrate 2 where a solar cell element 12 is mounted on a wiring base material 11 and an output terminal 17 formed on the wiring base material 11 is projecting outward thereof, a filling sheet 41 and a surface sheet 51 which are laminated on the surface side of the element mounting substrate 2, and a filling sheet 41 and a rear surface sheet 61 which are laminated on the rear surface side of the element mounting substrate 2. Notches 41, 61 are formed at a part on the periphery of at least the filling sheet 41 and the rear surface sheet 61 where the output terminal 17 is located.
