<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit that realizes high display performance and can be simply fabricated. <P>SOLUTION: A display unit includes, on a substrate: a plurality of light emitting devices in which a first electrode layer, an organic layer including a light emitting layer, and a second electrode layer are respectively and sequentially layered; and a black insulating layer separating the organic layer for each of the light emitting devices. Outside light is absorbed in the black insulating layer.
