<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device that enables the resonance of a housing and a folding mirror to be suppressed even if a polygon motor is utilized in common at multiple frequencies. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical scanning device, light emitted from a light source is made incident through an optical element on a polygon mirror 25, and the light deflected by the polygon mirror 25 is imaged using a scanning lens to expose and scan an image carrier. Also, a polygon substrate 32 including a rotation axis 31 of the polygon mirror 25 is mounted on a housing 21 at multiple fastening points a to g, and a vibration damping screw fastening point P is provided on the outside of a triangle area which is formed by connecting three fastening points e, f, g among the multiple fastening points a to g. The vibration damping screw fastening point P of the polygon substrate 32 is mounted to the housing by a screw-inserted screw at the vibration damping screw fastening point P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
