<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining stand for draining in a vertical direction thereby to keep the tastiness of cooking by rapidly and entirely removing extra adhering water so as to prevent the important taste of the cooking from being deteriorated due to the extra water adhering to food materials when the food materials such as vegetables and seaweed are drained. <P>SOLUTION: A mesh shape cushion net 2 with the loose mesh of about 10×10 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>covers conical or pyramidal leg bodies 1. The food materials to be drained are placed on the net to drain water in a vertical direction. A strainer-like draining tool 5 is placed on the most upper part 3 of the leg bodies 1. The food materials to be drained such as beans and broccoli are put into a groove part inside a circle.
