<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the position of an object. <P>SOLUTION: An object position determination method includes: a process of analyzing data including a plurality of objects each of which has a plurality of features and extracting the features from the data; a process of matching features stored in a database with the features extracted from the data, each feature extracted from the data being provided to cast one vote to at least one prediction, to obtain the prediction of the object; a process of expressing prediction to be analyzed in a Hough space in which n is defined as at least one integer, an object to be analyzed is described with n pieces of parameters, and the dimension of the Hough space is defined with each parameter; a process of giving constraint to weight the voting which is coincident with the voting from the other features higher than the voting which is not coincident with the voting from the other features; a process of obtaining the maximum value in the Hough space by using the weighted voting; and a process of identifying the prediction associated with the maximum value in order to determine a position of the object in the data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
