PURPOSE: A communication device and a method thereof are provided to allow a user to attempt to communicate with other people by executing an application outputted on a window. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(110) receives user input. A control unit(150) executes a window application according to the user input. An output unit(120) displays one or more applications. A communication unit(160) receives a communication connecting request signal from a communication network. When the window application does not provide a communication function, the control unit controls the window application on a surface application by controlling the output unit.
