PURPOSE: A reactive power compensation device for an AC motor control board is provided to effectively reduce ground reactive power which is generated from a motor load. CONSTITUTION: An inductor(10) is connected to a power line heading for a motor load in parallel. A capacitor bank(20) is serially connected to a single inductor having fixed inductance. A compensation capacitor(C) of the capacitor bank is connected between phase lines or each phase line and a neutral line through the inductor. A switching part(30) includes a plurality of switching elements(SA1-SAN,SB1-SAN,SC1-SCN) respectively connected to the compensation capacitor. A first current sensor part(51) senses a current flowing to the motor load. A voltage sensor part(40) senses a voltage of each phase or a voltage between the phases.
