A radiant tube burner and a heat storage element unit are provided whose structure is simple, and which have excellent durability and heat storage capabilities. A radiant tube burner apparatus that is used in a heating apparatus of a continuous annealing facility for steel strips includes a burner device 11 that is arranged at one end of a radiant tube 5; an air supply pipe 15 that supplies combustion air to the burner device 11; an exhaust pipe 17 that is connected to the other end of the radiant tube 5; a pair of heat storage elements 19 and 21 that are provided in a pipe system connecting the exhaust pipe 17 with the air supply pipe 15; a first four-way switching valve 31 that is arranged in a pipe system connecting the pair of heat storage elements 19 and 21 with the exhaust pipe 17; and a second four-way switching valve 33 that is arranged in a pipe system connecting the pair of heat storage elements 19 and 21 with the air supply pipe 15. |
