PURPOSE: A coupler for a vacuum cleaner is provided to improve the compatibility of a suction hole body by easily connecting the suction hole body with the suction pipes of various sizes. CONSTITUTION: A coupler(100) for a vacuum cleaner interconnects a suction hole body(13) for sucking foreign substances and a suction pipe(11) which is extended from the body of a vacuum cleaner(10) in order to connect to the suction hole body. The coupler for a vacuum cleaner comprises an extension pipe and a controlling. The extension pipe is extended from the suction hole body. The controlling is installed in the outer circumference of the extension pipe and forms a cutting unit with one side. The diameter of the suction pipe is expanded in order to correspond to the inner diameter of the suction pipe while the cutting unit opens. One side of the extension pipe forms a through hole which penetrates the outer and inner circumference. The inner circumference of the controlling forms a fixing projection for inserting into the extension pipe through the through hole. A lifting pipe is inserted into the extension pipe and is equipped with a supporting groove unit or projections which are spaced from each other along the circumferential direction and have different projected heights. The supporting groove unit is inserted with the projections in the outer circumference and comprises a plurality of supporting grooves which have different inserted depths and are spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction.
