PURPOSE: A reflection-type liquid crystal display device and a control method thereof are provided to block the emission of light, thereby expressing a black color. CONSTITUTION: A common electrode(120) forms an electric field with a pixel electrode(230) and controls the arrangement of liquid crystals on a liquid crystal layer(300). A phase delay plate(130) changes linear polarization into circular polarization. The optical axis of a polarization plate(140) forms an angle of 45 degrees from the optical axis of the phase delay plate. A reflection plate(220) reflects light. |
