PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to have excellent lifetime performance by using alkyl propionate-containing electrolyte and a polyvinylidene fluoride polymer-coated separator. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery(100) comprises a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator between the positive and negative electrodes; a polymer layer which is located on the surface of the separator, and comprises a polyvinylidene fluoride-based polymer; and electrolyte which includes C1-C10 alkyl propionate. The polymer layer is formed between the surface of the separator and the positive electrode and/or the surface of the separator and the negative electrode. The polyvinylidene fluoride-based polymer includes at least one selected from polyvinylidene fluoride and a polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer. |
