PURPOSE: A gas leak preventing device for a gas valve is provided to effectively block the leakage of gas from the gas valve to a gas supply hose. CONSTITUTION: A gas leak preventing device for a gas valve comprises a mounting casing(13) and a lifting body(23). The mounting case is inserted in the lower part of a valve body. The upside of the mounting case is reached to the lower part of the gas discharge hole bored on a partition plate of the valve body. The outer circumference of the lower part of the mounting case is fitted in the inner circumference of the lower part of the valve body. The lifting body is a conical shape and is inserted into the mounting case. A tapered gas blocking packing(24) is fixed on the outer circumference of the lower part of the lifting body. |
