<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system and an information distribution method which can easily support multilanguage and enhance user's convenience. <P>SOLUTION: An information distribution system 10 distributes information to a communication terminal 21. A wireless tag 41 holds a wireless tag ID for identifying its own wireless tag and a language ID for determining a set language. When the wireless tag 41 exists in a reading range, a wireless tag reader 201 reads the wireless tag ID and the language ID, and transmits the read wireless tag ID and language ID with identification information for identifying the wireless tag reader 201 to an information distribution server 401.
