A driving controlled axle of a vehicle, preferably a tractor, comprises a housing, to whose opposite sides through rotary axles there are attached housings with wheeled planetary gear units, drive motors and brakes in the form of multi-plate clutches are coaxially mounted. To improve the braking and traction performance the drive motors are located in the axle housing, the first planetary passes of gearing and multiplate clutch of the brake are also located in the axle housing between the motors and rotary axles. The brakes are equipped with other multiplate clutches comprising friction and pressure plates, and placed in the intermediate plates rigidly mounted on carriers of the first planetary passes. Power control mechanisms of brakes are located between said first and second clutches and are made in the form of pressure flanges coaxially mounted in the axle housing with possibility of rotation, axial movement and interaction with said clutches, and fixed plates mounted between the pressure flanges for engagement with the latter. The friction and driven plates of the first clutch are arranged on the ring gears respectively. The friction and pressure plates of the second clutch are mounted on the intermediate plates and in the axle housing respectively. |
