An electric device comprises: an operation input unit (102); an operation unit (103); and a number-of-times detection unit for counting the number of times of instructions issued against energy conservation. The electric device further comprises: a time measuring unit (105) for measuring time from when the number-of-times detection unit starts counting; and a control unit for generating a signal for prompting change of a first energy conservation pattern. When the time from when the time measuring unit (105) starts measuring until the number of times counted by the number-of-times detection unit reaches a predetermined value is within a first predetermined period of time, the control unit generates a signal for requesting to change the first energy conservation pattern to a more relaxed second energy conservation pattern.
