<p>PURPOSE: A golf ball is provided to have a high repulsive power and spherical core structure with a soft interior and hard exterior. CONSTITUTION: A golf ball comprises a spherical core(4) and a cover with an at least one or more layers, covering the core. The spherical core contains C3-8α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, as a base rubber and co-crosslinker, and/or a metal salt; thiophenol substituted by halogen, and/or a metal salt thereof; as an organic sulfur compound, thiophenol substituted by halogen, and/or a metal salt thereof. When containing only C3-8α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid as a co-crosslinker, the core is formed from a rubber composition which additionally contains metal compouonds.</p> |
