PURPOSE: Auto gain control is provided to rapidly determine gains for a plurality of speaker audios in an audio system by using high-speed attack AGC (Auto Gain Control) algorithms. CONSTITUTION: When a speaker is a first, a speaker identification module indicates the application of a high-speed AGC(Auto Gain Control) algorithm to an AGC module(104,108). The AGC module applies standard AGC(110). The AGC module provides a resulted gain to the speaker identification module. The speaker identification module stores voice prints related to the resulted gain and voice print for the new speaker(112). The speaker identification module provides the gain related to the voice print matched from the voice prints to the AGC module(106).
