The safety lock device (20) has a locking pin (40) which is movable between an initial position (41) and final position (42). An actuator (30) is provided to drive the locking pin between the initial position and final position. A sensor (50) is provided to measure information for determining driven distance of locking pin. A control unit (60) is electrically connected to the sensor, to receive the measured information from the sensor. The status of the safety lock is determined using control unit based on the measured information received from the sensor. An independent claim is included for a safety lock system.
