DIRECT TYPE BACKLIGHT MODULE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

A direct type backlight module comprises a diffusing plate (2) at a light exit surface and a back plate (4) opposite to the diffusing plate (2). A support column (1) is disposed between the back plate (4) and the diffusing plate (2). The support column (1) is rigidly fixed on the back plate (4). The support column (1) is rigidly fixed on the back plate (4), which does not have any direct relationship with the thickness of the back plate (4) and that of an LED light plate (3) fixed on the back plate (4), and the problems of swaying and noise incurred by infirm holding do not present. Therefore, the support column (1) can be firmly fixed. The support column (1) may be rigidly fixed through automated operations such as SMT welding and riveting, thereby increasing the productivity and the yield.
